Recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay nine years in a row and on the Inc. 5000 list of top privately held companies in the country for the last seven years, DAS Health is seeking full-time RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Specialist.
The Revenue Cycle Management Specialist is responsible for managing the claims resolution process for assigned client accounts. The RCM Specialist applies thorough knowledge of the claim billing and AR life-cycle, including the prompt and accurate follow-up of all unpaid claims, reviewing assigned accounts to determine appropriate actions needed with regards to claim resolution, managing appeals and resubmissions, and maximizing reimbursement and boosting collections for their assigned accounts.
Specific job duties include:
Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies either electronically or by paper
Review superbill reports and work claim rejections
Assess insurance reimbursement for individual accounts to ensure maximum reimbursement from payers
Take appropriate follow-up actions on accounts to resolve claims and ensure payment on the first follow-up call or appeal
Perform collection activities, such as insurance status calls to ensure timely reimbursement, appeals, and account reviews
Task provider staff when additional information is required for claims submissions
Request and prepare adjustments and refund requests based on contracts, applicable modifiers, or appeal denials
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1-3 years in physician medical billing and collections
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding and CCI edits
Extensive knowledge of the RCM process, rejection codes, interpreting 837 and 835 submissions, and the demonstrated ability to identify areas of opportunity to reduce denials and increase payment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good time management skills
Ability to work independently
Experience working with Aprima, eClinical Works, or Medisoft applications
