MSP Operations Manager

As the MSP Operations Manager, you will oversee all operational activity of the DAS Health Managed Services Provider (MSP) Team. You will be responsible for leading the team in the completion and documentation of support cases, maintaining all key performance Indicators, following and implementing best practices and monitoring team members’ duties and time allocations.  Additionally, you will design, lead, and monitor all MSP Team projects and product implementations. The MSP Operations Manager is an integral part of our MSP team which ensures we are meeting performance and quality assurance benchmarks.  

 

Specific job duties include:

  • Direct the daily operations of MSP while supervising a staff of local and remote Engineers
  • Serve as the technical expert in all matters related to client network/infrastructure environments.
  • P&L responsibilities for the MSP Department
  • Research, develop, and compose appropriate policies and guidelines to address new and changing issues relating to MSP technology.
  • Ensure programs are legally operated, properly designed, maintained, secured, and prepared for disaster recovery
  • Perform network analysis and planning. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. Identify areas in need of upgraded equipment. Provide technical recommendations to the VP of Technical Solutions regarding enhancements or changes to the network for both internal and client infrastructures.
  • Oversee hardware and software installation projects
  • Identify, prepare, and/or ensure completion of high quality professional deliverables to include user guides, technical documents, training documents, performance reviews, KPI reports, new employee documents, SOPs, and other documents
  • Develop relationships and communicate with key clients and individuals on large projects related to training and implementations.
  • Act as third level MSP escalation point: Clients/Internal/Partners
  • Interview, select, and train MSP Team Members
  • Complete performance evaluations on all MSP Team Members. Implement and monitor corrective actions including disciplinary and termination recommendations.
  • Control the flow and distribution of inventory, assets, and supplies.
  • Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service
  • Use, protect and disclose patients’ PHI and e-PHI only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standard

Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent amount of experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a technical team
  • 10 years’ experience of IT execution or project management
  • Exceptional communication (oral & written) skills.
  • Practical experience working with various levels of management
  • Familiar with case management via CRM systems
  • High energy with strong initiative, unquestionable reliability, follow-through, and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred:

  • Technical Operational Management and leadership experience
  • A Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in the following software: Microsoft Enterprise environment to include Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Domain Services administration.
  • Experience with Telephony, VOIP, and Softphones
  • PowerShell, VBScript, or other scripting experience
