Position Overview
The Account Manager I is responsible for managing and supporting a portfolio of healthcare clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted partner. This role focuses on delivering exceptional client experiences, understanding evolving business and technology needs, and identifying opportunities to expand services while driving long-term client retention and satisfaction.
This position is ideal for a relationship-driven account manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable working closely with internal technical teams to deliver value to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare client accounts, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Develop a deep understanding of client goals, challenges, and operational needs to align appropriate IT solutions
  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to support revenue growth
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to develop and execute tailored client strategies
  • Address and resolve client concerns efficiently, coordinating internal resources to exceed expectations
  • Participate in ongoing account reviews and evaluations to improve service delivery and drive long-term retention
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure or escalated situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, client success, or customer success
  • Proven success in client retention, upselling, and cross-selling within existing accounts
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred; backgrounds in managed IT, cybersecurity, or cloud hosting strongly encouraged
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust across all client levels
  • High emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and follow-through
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and educate end users
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar platforms is a plus
  • Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA standards when handling PHI and e‑PHI
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 20%, participate in after-hours on-call rotation, and work overtime as needed
